R.I.P. Le Royale

DBTH reports that this past Saturday was Le Royale's final night under current management. After more than a year and a half of steady visits by great DJs every weeknight and weekend, hipsters and trendsters who enjoyed shimmying to the hot beats spun at Le Royale in the West Village will have to find new pastures to rock the plaid and skinny jeans. 

Christina Aguilera goes MIA

She may have started her career as a genie in a bottle, but Christina Aguilera has moved past granting others wishes, and is now getting one of her own- BlackBook Magazine tells us that she will be collaborating with the top indie/hipster artists M.I.A. and Santigold on her new album.

No details about release dates or really anything useful has been let out yet, but keep on the lookout for this sparkly collaboration.
